Neither. I won`t use any Accell products, you`ll find many on this board who feel the same. Reasons are, HEI caps that melt, plugs that are bad out of the box, supercoils that are bad out of the box.
I would get a stock HEI and rebuild it if the bushings are okay.
Then add all new internals such as the pick up coil, and a pertronix flame thrower matching coil and module.

accel distributors

one is machined blillet
the other is cast aluminum

I would buy an MSD ready to run and the blaster 2 coil.
Its cheaper than the HEI stand alone.
They are both billet aluminum.
Have ball bearings
Are fully adjustable for total time and advance curve
Have a thicker wider stem
Have the mechanical advance lockout feature
Remove the vacuum advance pod feature

the whole line of ACCEL products is garbage. from air filters to distributors to ignition systems to injectors. i replaced the injectors in a ford 302 once and 5 out of the 8 were bad. i sent them back to the company and bought ford racing injectors. on another occasion my buddy put an accel distributor in his 69 camaro 350... and the bearing inside the distributor spun. if your looking for a dist. go MSD. those are the best that i've found. no problems at all.

I agree with all on the comments about Accell. I have found that the Pertronix is a good product though if you do not want to drop out the bills on an MSD or Mallory ignition system. I run the Pertronix Flame Thrower on my 350 equipped ElCamino, and I have a complete MSD setup on my Malibu. The Pertronix kit I bought was a complete rebuild kit. CAme with everything needed to freshen up your HEI distributor.
