Question Distributor Question - 1985 305 and 1975 350

Hey guys... I'm new to the forum, as I'm sure my post amount is listed to the left....

Anyway...

I've got an 1985 Monte Carlo..... I've got to drop the transmission and take off the motor mounts and then the engine's ready to come out... For those of you who might not be familiar its a 305 with a 4bbl....

Anyway... (again)

I'm installing a 1975 Chevy 350 that I removed from a Van (not that somethings wrong with my 305, but this is a 350!! and it was FREE)....

We're trying to go wireless.... No, I'm not installing a cell phone antennae. All pollution junk is scraped already, all the wiring harnesses are tied together ready to get thrown out... Going to install it as if it were a 1975 vehicle...

MY QUESTION --
the 350 distrib has only 3 wires on it..... whereas the 305 distrib has about..... 4 or 5...

What do I do here?

We're gonna go no-computer, no pollution, no anything but what's necessary to make an engine purr...

Thanks for any help and of course thanks for bothering to read my long message that twines in and out of topic.. Thanks!

-Pete

re: Distributor Question - 1985 305 and 1975 350

Use the 305 distributer. That way the wireing will match up. Is the 305 carberated or fuel injected?
If it was fuel injected, I think you are in for a lot of wiring hassles.
