The TBI distributor has no mechanical advance, it`s advance is operated by the computer. You`ll need a small cap distributor from MSD or the like.

Only way you can use the TBI distributor is with a programmable ignition box like MSD or Mallory Programmable models.

Or you could keep all the factory TBI injection and computer and run 2 TB's on the ram- if you are looking for a mechanical, electrical (and programming)challenge .

You can buy aftermarket small cap distributor or you can put an electronic conversion in the older, smaller, points type factory distributor too.

That sounds pretty cool Eric, I`d love to see a pair of TBI`s on a tunnel ram, that would look nasty.

I recall seeing in-process pics somewhere of somebody doing this with factory TBI body's, and another with the Holley Pro-Jection 2 barrel and 4-barrel body's... just with CRS kicking in I don't remember specifics on the factory type set up or how it ran. One of the Holley 2 barrel type set ups was on a rock crawler/trail/dune type Jeep I saw at the sand dunes and he loved his set-up but admitted it took some time to get dialed-in by testing,... this was pre-wideband era but narrows were around. Probably be a whole lot easier today with a wideband O2, be done tuning in a couple of days
