dixon or worsham

Both grew up in dragracing families and have tasted success and they will definately run the 2012 season. Dixon has a sponsor contract and is going to field his own team, but I don't remember who the sponsor is.
Kenny Bernstien is retiring from drag racing and I assumed his son would take over the team but in the Dec. Drag Illustrated there is an add for the Kenny Bernstien going out of business auction.

Garrell Patterson

I love to talk n.h.r.a. and nascar with someone knowledgable.

I'll answer part of my own question.

Just checked on NHRA.com again.

This time I read an article on Bob Vandergrif, who is trying to put together a three car team. He and Dixon are already talking, if funding is found

Larry said that he will be looking for other possibilites too... but is planning his own team for next year if he doesn't find a deal.

I just found a post on another motor site, other than NHRA's, say Worsham retired at the end of the season. I don't know if that is from driving... or everything?

The last I heard about Worsham is that he is going to tune Alexis DeJoria's "Patron Tequila" car-

That leaves the best fuel tuner, Alan Johnson, in a spot with no drivers, there must be something else going on, the three of them could have become a dynasty. Do you know if Alanami is staying with Alan Johnson?

Balooshi is an experienced racer from team owner Sheikh Kahlid's home country.

Dixon or Worsham

Well it wound up being niether one, looks like the top fuel championship will probably be decided between Langdon, Brown,or Schumaker and I guess Morgan Lucas might have an outside chance, what do you think. Most people either love or hate John Force, I really admire the guy, 1100th round win yesterday and with his driving career winding down, he might not agree, he has got two of the best funny car teams running and has put together top notch crew chiefs to make a run for the championdhip. He talks the talk but he has always been able to back it up. I am a loyal Nascar follower and use to have a connection where I was a licensed crew member for ten years, but honorary. I sat in a hauler and visited, watched practise and qualifing from a stand on top of the hauler and sat on a directors chair in the pit during races. But I think I enjoy the N.H.R.A. events even more especially with the five hours of coverage.
I guess I sound like a publicity man for the N.H.R.A., but just a racing junkie.

As of 2-12-12 at the winter nationals, Worsham was crew chief for Alexis DeJoria's car.

Larry Dixon was still looking for a ride.

What I find a little hard to believe is Worsham-he's a heck of a nice guy, but here he's won a Top Fuel Championship to tune a Funny Car?

He's very likeable, talented and all, I just wonder if he really was just pushed out of AJ's and will be back driving next Year-

I don't believe Worsham would leave to tune a car either as hard as he and his Dad had worked to succede and he didn't want to try for another championship, and I do not believe Larry Dixon would have left one of if not the top team without a plan in place. You can bet we will never hear the truth though.
It is good to find another fan that likes to discuss the sport, did you or do you dragrace?

Garrell

I quit racing about 20 Years ago (got too expensive as I had Kids and a Family, but I don't regret it one bit)-I was the starter at Bandimere Speedway about a hunnerd Years ago, and I loved doing that.

Maybe in the next 5 Years or so I can build another one (I would just LOVE an Altered)-all I have to do is hog-tie the Bride-(you see, I have this spare Big Block just sitting in my Shop-I mean, it's just sitting there, doing nothing, rusting away and all, I think, and........well, anyways, you get the idea )-

Anywho, I've always loved and followed Drag Racing, and I blame my Brother for taking me when I was about 9 or so-so, you see, it's really his fault-
