DIY 700r4 rebuild?
i have 2 700r4 transmissions that i need to rebuild or have rebuild. ive seen enough info on guys doing them that you need a few special tools and such but im rather interested in doing it myself
is there any books out there that go into detail about rebuilding them ? mine are non electronic ( i believe ) besides a single electrical connection going to the tranny. any input is greatly appriciated. =]

Hey man I rebuilt my first 700r4 it was not that bad I bought one of those Haynes manuals from the parts house but what really helped Was the one I got where I got my rebuild kit I would advise that you go to a transmission parts store instead of autozone I go to a place called what ever it takes they are very helpful also check check an recheck do not force anything if it does not fit there is a reason transmissions use very close tolerances hope this helps and good luck
