Hiyas.
I have a '65 chevy truck... and as such I come across posts in various forums from time to time with people looking for steel cowls for their steel hoods. Thus far, it seems no one makes one that is specifically for the 60-66 chevy truck hoods.
I myself have no interest in a cowl for my hood, steel or otherwise, I am merely curious about this.
This has made me ponder a few things. I suppose if someone had the skill level and tools they could make their own steel cowl for their hood as far as fabricating and mounting it up to look good. The thing is, how to know about the shape(which I suppose is more aesthetic? yes/no?), the opening size for the application?
Another point I've pondered is there are other steel cowls that are either custom all around applications or steel cowls for other makes of cars/trucks... so people could use one of those. Then the question is, what looks good, what have people used?
Anyway, I'm just poking around looking for information as I was curious...
laters folks,
