somebody help me out. i want my auction to end in nine days on sunday the 31st. can i do that? just pick a date/time? or does it have to automatically end exactly 10 days later from when i start it? thanks.

I thought when you put an item on there you could choose the amount of days you wanted it to run for. Last time I sold something on there it asked if I wanted a 3/5/7/or 10 day The 10 day cost extra I believe at least then it did...

If I remember correctly it's 1 day, 3 days, 5 days, 7 days, 10 days, and buy-it-now. There is a way to make it longer but I don't know how. As far as I know you can't make it end at any other time.

Each time you choose to run your listing for 10 days there is a $8.00 charge for vehicles and a $0.40 charge for non-vehicles and pocket bikes.1-, 3-, 5- and 7-day listings are not subjected to this additional fee.

And It can be relisted for free on certain items, if there were no bidders.

thank you that helps alot. but one thing i see wrong was that it's $40 to list a car, not $8. it must be $8 MORE than the 40 for a 10 dayer. they also want another $40 for putting a reserve on it, which is refundable if it doesnt make the reserve. ebay sure has alot of problems and they seem to be impossible to get ahold of for questions like mine. i guess i will have to do a 7 dayer.

does the day you list it count as a day? or is one day from today until this time tomorrow?

in other words, what day to i list an ad for it to end on a sunday at 6pm?

It goes from the time you list it... so if you put an ad on sunday at 6 then seven days later (sunday at 6) it will be over.

And yes it meant $8 more for a 10 day listing on top of the 40...

Ebay makes LOTS of money on people selling cars... and you just know that 9 out of 10 people put a resv. on.

SOmetimes you can relist a car for free if you don't sell it the first time... they keep switchin stuff around but if you look around enough you cna find the anwsers. In the help section of Ebay they have lots of that stuff...

I thought it was $5 for a reserve on a car, not $40???
When I have a question I can't find an answer to I go to the home page and on the right habd corner near the top there is a link for "live help". They take anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes but they ALWAYS have answered my questions. one time they even called me in the middle of chat, I about fell over!

the day before yesterday I put up an auction website with no fees. I had thought about making a password to enter the home page and then it could be passed around among friends, I figured that would help keep scammers out? ....but if I leave a link the thread will be dumped....and you won't know about the "live help" at eBay.

I have sold three vehicles on ebay and each time it was about 80$ or so.My opinion on it is.I think I probably I would have done better selling them locally,but I would do it again through ebay because it sure is alot less hassle.You don,t have the,I will be right over,and nobody shows up,etc.... And if you need money quick,which I did.You got it.
