Now im not a 100% on this but i didn't think the mount itself was different between the 2 but the steel clam that bolts to the block is what i thought was different between bigblock and small block.......chevy that is......
please correct me if i am wrong.

Would be nice to know what car we are talking about. I know that my 68-70 Chevelles used the same mounts/frame mounts for both small and big block..........and I had a few.

Those "clamshell" mounts came along around 73
