Do I need a Pinion Snubber??

Finishing up my 62 Studebaker Lark converted to a 327 Chevy with Ford 8.8 traction loc rear. I've got a Muncie M21 and 3:73 gears. The car was a 6 cylinder automatic and has no type of pinion snubber. Should I install one? I've seen some adjustable types, Would I install it on the axle housing or on the floor above it? Would traction bars accomplish the same thing? This isn't a race car, but I will get on it once in a while on the street. The car is pretty light, probably about 3000 lbs. Thanks

Traction bars would probably work better. The old slapper bars work pretty good, but also look into the Cal-Trax bars and the Competition Engineering bars.

ASSuming the car is leaf-sprung, what BGH said. Cal-trac's would be the best $350 you ever spent...
