Do I need residual pressure valves?

To all- My Corvette style master cylinder is mounted at a right angle behind the dash. I'm using 1969 Chevy single piston front calipers and 57-64 Olds rear drum brakes. The master cylinder is mounted 24"-30" higher than the calipers and wheel cylinders. Do I need to use residual pressure valves?

Thanks!
