I have a 36 international rat rod it has a roll bar and a 5 point harness do I need side windows to be legal its not to fast maybe mid 11's(Everything else is 10.0 legal). Thanks in advance Aaron

I don't think it is required as long as you wear a helmet, but it's been a long time since I have been to the drags I would just go by and ask the strip management what their rules are just to be safe any pics of your rat?

Thanks I heard you may need a full fire suit. Here is an old pic,i'm changing the wheels. I also added a roll bar and twin turbo setup

I would go to the track first and see if it will even pass their tech inspection before you do anything else. The side windows might be the least of your worries!

Thanks guys I will put lexan in it. Everything else should pass I had three 10.0 legal cars and a 8.50 legal camaro. I just wasn't sure on the no windows

You need atleast a window net. In the 11 second or down to 10's you only need a jacket and proper helmet as well.

I passed tech once then at the starting line they stopped me, and played rules, this was after I passed tech. It was a very minor issue, I say it was track politics.

IHRA is more lax, however if it is a friday or sat night race, with no points, you will get away with more.

I passed tech at a local track after staying up late making a battery hold down, after misplacing mine, they never opened the hood.
I guess my car looked slow.

For the beer when i'm working on the car. LOL I put windows in it and i passed tech. Made one pass had a hard time getting it out of the hole went 2.08 sixty foot ran a 11.12 @ 134.95 running it tomorrow night hope mid to low 10's

It goes nice and straight down the track after i get the power to the ground. Overall its a easy car to drive down the track.
