I have a 73 camaro with a 350/350. It is somewhere around 400hp. With a 465 lift cam. My problem is that i have to set the idle at about 1500 rpm in park to get it to idle at 750 rpms at a stop. Will a stall convertor help with this problem? And is a 2000 stall speed enough. It is a street car.

Your stall speed works along with cam and rear gears (along with others). Give details about the cam/motor along with rear gears for a good response.
It sounds like you would need some what of a bigger stall, but need to know more to give a correct response.
