Do my spring have an upper/lower end?

I had to take the rear end out of my Malibu and found that the pigtails on each end of the coil springs had different shapes. On each spring, one of the pigtails forms a nice round opening and the other end pigtail is somewhat oblong. Do these springs have a "top" and "bottom"?
Thanks
Donny

Yep, ONe of those ends will fit the spring bucket properly. Look closely and you will see.

Spring question update

Mike at Eaton Springs tells me that the difference in the pigtails is simply a result of the manufacturing process and makes no difference in the fit or performance of the spring.
Just an FYI
