Do they make a shorter yoke on the 9" ford differential, or trans yoke
We have a 32 Ford under construction. We have moved the rear end back to visually center it in the rear fenders. Previously we moved the motor back 1" to clear an electric fan.
Our problem is that the net result to the driveshaft is that it is too long. We have only 1/4" slip yoke travel, rather than the normal 3/4". Rather than shorten the driveshaft, do they make a shorter pinion yoke for the 9" Ford differential. Ours is approximately 3 1/8 from the split of the universal to the front of the external slinger. Is there a shorter one available? If not a shorter pinion yoke, what about a shorter driveshaft transmission slip yoke for the 350 turbo? |

I think the speedway link is the Neapco yoke Part# N2-4-FD01X. The Yoke should be 4" O/A length.

It costs $75.00 here to get a shaft shortened, why risk trashing the rear end swapping pinion yokes? http://www.pic4ever.com/images/vahidrk.gif If cost is that big a concern, try junkyarding for a shorter one...
