howdy all,, i posted this question that was answered in another thread to id a trw piston # , but it was an older thread.

i'm 'redoing' this engine since i filled with water sitting out back for two years,,(the stupid blue tarp leaked !

so, i hove no idea what cam was installed , it measures .455 or .466 , i want to go larger, the pistons have .300 or so valve reliefs
a slight chamfer around the top , signifying a little 'dome' , not the flattop. so knowing about the compression ratio will help in my cam decision,,

inside on one side is TRW the other has 463-99
looked and looked, can't find any info ? was even thinking getting old 1985 TRW catalog off ebay??

if anyone has info on these pistons, greatly appreciated

Are you planning to reuse the pistons? There are a lot better piston material nowadays, yours are obsolete.

Also expensive to install a big lift cam in stock 360 heads.

VERY short valve springs. Not much material in spring seats to cut for proper seat pressure and clearance. Longer valves require entire v-train re-do. Non adjustable.. $$$$$$

Some idiot were put out my reply here yesterday , but its ok, I understand Idiot people though...

If you have problem regarding on the engine valves or valves of you car, you can look at on directory to find out some good shop to repair your car....

i know there is 'better' piston options, please , if you have the $ i will give you my paypal addy to donate to the cause !

i use this car for apperances and some charity work, i give rides in it from time to time, so i'd like it to at least sound good ! lol,, i really have no money, i get disability from the V.A. and a min wage job that gets me food,doing this with 100 or so each month is going to be hard, but, looking at certain circle track cams and the 'new' bee hive springs, unless i come across cheap 2.02, the 1.88 will have to do in the heads,i'm not going over .550 lift, prob .535/.545 max, split profile , long duration

still no luck, i'm still looking, hard to believe no old trw catalogs laying around?

s10 racer ,i know they are 'obsolete' but they are new, never run ! i have no extra $$, the guy i bought the engine from had no clue what his brother did to it . i was shocked to see them as i was expecting dished pistons !
