You might ask the owners of the good sounding trucks... It's VERY possible the exhausts are aftermarket or muffler shop installs.
I see a lot of Dodge stuff in Stupidville and have noticed nothing spectacular about their exhaust note... Most of them are single exhaust. Mark |

re: dodge ram exhaust...
I've asked a few people with duals on their dodge trucks and they have cat-back with no muffler (mostly). Basically amplifying the stock sound alot. They all tell me, "thats just how they sound". But when I hear Ford and Chevy pickups with duals, they just don't have that unique sound like a dodge has. So thats why I'm curious to how this sound from the motor is made. I know..stupid question...but was always curious about it for a long time.

don't Dodge it, RAM it
I recently just brought a '98 Ram 1500 with a 360, And all I know is that it's a Dodge produced sound. I'm about to install a 3" single exhaust with a CherryBomb Extreme one chamber
I just hope I don't have a run in with the city cops(the county's deputys are ok with good ole boys)
