Does anyone know the DISTRIB model # 4 a stock 350 2brl pontiac tempest?

PLEASE if someone knows this tell me, i really need to know i bought this really thick manuel on 68 pontiacs and it tells you everything you need to know including the distrib BUT the model numbers corresponding to which engine they were put in. Please does some one know the # of the model that came in mine i have a stock 350 2brl automatic trans, yes i know you gto guys are like HAHAHA, yay it's pretty much the base model of all 68 cars but she's a classic. THANK YOU

first of all... all pontiacs use the same distributor from 65-77. if you want a model number... good luck... try napa.... or any other part stores...

and the goat guys aint got nothin to say... you know what the goat was based on right???

they use the same type of dist...

Thanks guys i was just wondering because this book i got that is the service manuel for the 68 pontiacs is telling me the distrib specs but some are different and they have different model number thats why i cant figure out if pontiac used the same distrib for the cars why would there be different numbers? Maybe for the six cyl and the eight and then for the 350 and the 400 i dont know im just trying to figure out the right one for mine.

Same basic distributors for the V-8's, but the advance curves will be different for different engines. The part number should be on the outside of the distributor, either stamped into the big part of the body, or on a tag attached with small rivets. Usually 7 digits, the first two of which might be 11.
