does anyone know how to combine air compressor?

Hi

I have (2) 30gal with 8.6scfm@90.

My question is if I combine this 2 together..Do i get 16scfm@90psi with 60gal?

or NOT

boy o boy ,I'm going to catch heck for this...In the past I've done this by connecting the tanks together with steel braided line (as large a diamiter as I could find)..It does increase the output but also draws twice the electric current,you may have to use two differnt legs of your circuts if you trip the breakers.also when not needed you can just run one by leaving one off.Be careful you may be shocked......when the electric bill comes BTW...I'd use two small tanks insted of one big one.

well, it's actully 17.2 SCFM, but yes.. I run a combined compressor system to make 110v adaquate

My setup is a bit larger. Two 60 gal tanks. I set the pressure switches to let both pumps start in the morning. Then the better pump does most of the work and the lesser pump acts as a backup when pressure drops below 100 psi.

Thats exactly what I did when my big ingersol went down and two old 60gal compressors hooked together supplied the painter and two others with enough air to get by for a month.

That's what I have done also. The DA takes quite a bit of volume..........I just took my "home" compressor, brought it to my shop, and ran the hose into the hard piping of my shop unit.
