Not a problem
Not a problem...I put on 50,000 miles in 3 years....no need for special clothing, except, boots that cover ankles. I get 24-25 miles a gallon, which is better than my Mercedes 3.6L V6 at 18mpg. I bought the bike for 0-60mph in 2 seconds and 8.8 second quartermile, unbaffled exhaust and of course. the conversation starter aspect. I commute to work on this many days. Wet weather handling is great too with car tire.
We have guys in our club with 150,000 miles on these in 6 years.
The new LS3 has valve cover chrome covers you can touch with your bare hands. There are efficient heat shields on the headers so you dont burn the legs.
They've been building these for almost 19 years...most of the bugs ironed out, except of course "operator error".
