does it really work ?
hey everyone I need some honest advice. I have a 2004 chevy Z71 with a V8 5300 with dual exhaust. Now if i bought a flame kit (Eat my Flames.com) will it really work with out propane.

You not really going to buy one of those are you
Later, WEIMER btw...most flame kits don't use propane, the use unspent gasoline. |

For your fuelie application you would have to inject some form of flammable liquid in the exhaust to ignite. Most kits rely on cutting power to the ignition and you can't do that on a fuelie and keep the fuel going, unlike a carburetor that acts like a giant air pump. One way to do it is to put a T in the line and go through a couple of Nitrous solenoids to Nitrous nozzles. The ignition of the fuel into the tailpipe could be done with almost any number ways. I build my own flamethrower ignition boxes and I have on on my El Camino. I have not done the injected route... yet. I have run up the cost and it gets pretty pricey pretty quick. If you're interested here is a link to the video of my flames. I make the flames in the video by cutting the ignition.
flame video I have not had the money to develop an injected set-up yet. I would like to though. |
