A TV show that is a spin off of NCIS called NCIS LA. The actress plays a pint size forensic nerd, only scheduled for a short run but everyone liked her and she has a regular roll on the show now.

I have let kids sit in my car at cruises, they like it! Talking to a husband/wife at one cruise, the guy was saying how much he liked my car, and wondered if he would 'fit' (he was a little taller than me) - I opened the door and invited him to sit in it, see how it fit. He was surprised, but hopped in, his wife was even more surprised, so I opened the other door for her to join him. They both thanked me profusely, took a few more pictures, thanked me again.

My trans am only gets noticed when my girlfriend drives it it seems.
My dad cant even roll his 55 out of the garage without someone stopping and talking to him. Normally it doesn't bother us, we're way more accommodating at car shows than a lot of other guys are. We built our cars to drive and enjoy. You'll never see something of mine behind a velvet rope LOL

The pic might have something to do with her getting noticed LOL

You mean when you go to the local cruise in you don't stack your trophies on the hood? How on earth are people going to know you have a nice car?

My Austin gasser always gets attention, and most the time I like it. But occasionally it's the people's way of getting my attention that is irritating. I've had people suddenly honk their horn so I'll acknowledge their thumbs up, and it scares the heck outta me if I'm driving.
I've also had the idiots who are standing on the sidewalk and jump out in front of me to give a thumbs up, and that also is not cool.
Most people just smile, or nod, or take cell phone pics. Occasionally follow me to where I'm going and ask questions once I'm stopped. All those are welcome.

You know a funny thing happened to me in this regard. I looked in the rear view mirror at a light to see a young lady taking a photo of the back of the Rambler. Later I went to facebook to see that she was a friend of one of my friends and she posted the photo to him telling him about this cool car she saw on the way to work.

My neighbor and I were coming home from a drive the other day. (He also has a 1949 Austin gasser) We came around the corner rright by our houses and there was a city police officer. She did a double take, and a U turn in the intersection. Of course I naturally figured we were going to get harased for something. Instead the female officer gets out and walks up with a smile, and says, "I've never seen any cars like those in my life!"
She spent a few minutes asking questions and looking them over. I asked if she wanted to go for a ride, but she said she couldn't while on duty. She might come back later when she's off duty; which would be cool! Cops need to have some car fun too!

AutoGear...you've got the best of both worlds...hot cars and a hot wife. I, too was fortunate enough to find a beautiful woman that shares my passion for cars. When she would drive her 69 Roadrunner she would have a parade behind her of onlookers...when I drove the dang thing it might as well have been an old Pinto, because no one seemed to notice. This did nothing to boost my self esteem...had to sell the car! LOL

It was logical! If I get rid of the car...someone gives me cash. If I get rid of the wife...it will cost me cash. LOL. This is of course only a joke! I truly love and adore my wife, she's worth more then any car ever could be!
