I could accept that if it was a new 'Pacer' owner.

But, a Marlin-----too classy a car for this guy.

This guy would be better off just leaving the hood closed

Are you saying your not supposed to use water on a leak down test?

Hahahaa....

It depends what kind of leak down test... toilet tank leak down test sure use water... that way you know the valve is sealed and ready to release the rush of water resulting in a flushing away of human waste, dead goldfish, or whatever stuff little kids try to flush (burger king cup lid and a nightlight are my claims to fame when I was a rugrat)

As for cars, umm, no.

Ahhhh a Marlin, I LOVE those cars! Every time I see one for "sail" I have to be pulled away by both arms.

Someone once wrote in to Hotrod mag during the wings and dams era and ask how would you spoil a Marlin. The reply was "you don't have to. They came prespoiled from the factory".
