Dome Light Wiring question

I installed an EZ wiring harness in the 56 1/2 ton. I,m having a senior moment regarding the dome light wiring. The harness has a white wire coming from the fuse panel, it is a constant hot. I wired it to the prong on the headlight switch for dome light return. There is a black wired ground (?) prong on the headlight switch that is hot when the switch is turned on ? I have no door switch and just want to be able to turn on the dome light with the headlight switch. Can someone tell me how to wire this? Thanks

Typically dome and courtesy lights are wired to the lamps hot at all times and switching control is done to ground.
When the headlight switch is rotated fully it makes a connection to ground which will complete the circuit and light the lights.
A ground wire connection is required at the headlight switch for it function.
The white wire that comes from the fuse block would go directly to the lights.
Another wire would return from the lights to the headlight switch.

Dome Light Wiring question

Thanks, the instructions were a little vague. I was running the white wire to the switch, not the light itself. Duhhh
