Domed glass in front of backlit gauge?
I'm using a backlit modern OEM speedometer in my project.
I want to mount a round bezel with glass in front of the speedometer for a look typical of many cars in the 30's to 50's.
My concern is that the backlit indicators might reflect off the domed glass in vintage 30's to 50's cars and create at double, or distorted image.
1) Does anyone know if vintage domed glass will work in front of this type of backlit gauge.
2) Would a flat glass be better or worse?
I would think that flat glass would be worse. I would say that the closer you mount the gauge to the glass the less distorted it will look. Just thinking out loud
