Don is going back to Ford parts

Hi Folks,

JUST in case anyone cares ... I've just accepted a position as Parts Manager at a VERY small Ford Dealer in Central Alberta.

I've been working at the same NAPA store since I left Ford in 1992, and I think it's time for a change.

As a few of you know, I HAVE been trying to answer/help with a lot of the Ford questions that arise ... but have found myself struggling to recall some of the details, and having to be corrected quite frequently as well. So yeah ... nostalgia AND ego were a bit of a motivator, as THEY called me and were willing to pay what I asked.

It was a tough decision to make though ... I am being treated quite well where I am. My 66 GMC is completely torn apart and scattered all around our vacant "shop/warehouse" area. My present employer was really good about me leaving as well, and offered to let me "take my time" getting it out of there. I may have to pay him a bit of rent to cover the heat/lights, but he says he will let me keep a key to the building and security access code.

So.. wish me luck with the Ford thing!

I guess I won't be able to use my :"I used to like Fords ... but I'm much better now" line anymore.
