Im looking to put door actuators in my 40 buick. Im using the origional latches. My question is will a 35lb actuator open my door? Also looking to help in what is a good one to buy and what remotes are good.

i have a 55 pontiac pro street and tried 35 pounders and they did not work.spend the money and go with atleast 50 pounders.Auto loc has a good product but to save bucks and get results contact summit racing.

They won't work with the old style(have to move handle and latch) slider latches. Think about using power windows for access if you want to use the original latches. Otherwise go to Bearpaw latches.

I use Auto locks remotes and they work great and can be added on for other things. hood, trunk, ect.
