Door Check Pin
The previous owner of my 37 Dodge cut off the door check pins so he could take off the doors. The holes in the check bracket are 7/32 and the total length of the pin would be about 7/16. The original pin head a head on it and I was thinking of using a roll pin but I'm afraid that it would eventually fall out with opening and closing of the door. Anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks in advance Sam |
Not familiar with that xact car but can you post a pix?
If its round stock I sure it would not be hard to fab somthing nice up. R  |
Many later model imports used a rolled pin that had a little shoulder so it couldn't fall thru. But depending on the style of car you are building, how about a simple nut and bolt? A nice button head allen and a nylon lock nut would be perfect in most cases.
