door deconstruction

Hey guys,
I have a 30 year old car door that I am getting it down to metal. I have to cut a couple sections out to replace with new metal. How do you clean out the inside of the door of old rustproofing and some rust on inside and on crash panel inside door. When I say inside of door, I mean the area where the window resides when down. Just cosmetic rust, but I would like to put an end to it now.
After it is cleaned out, what would you put inside? Should I pour some 2K epoxy primer inside and roll it around? I especially want to seal up the door skin seams on the inside. Sand blasting might be hard inside there. Also, its a small convertible door.

Thanks for you comments

I just went thru the same thing. I took a sharp putty knife abd scraped off as much of the old undercoating/rustproofing. When I got it clean, and in some areas where it got down to rust, I sprayed some of Eastwoods Rust Inhibitor. It actually turns any rusted metal black . After it dried, I just hit it with some spray primer and them a coat of spray undercaoting to seal it from moisture.
