Door Glass
I need to replace the door glass in my hotrod and the existing glass is cemented in place in the metal channel. I'm looking for any recommendations on a solvent I could use on the cement so I can remove the glass and have a clean channel to set the replacement glass into. Does acetone work?? HELP please!!!

Most contact adhesives will dissolve in Mineral Spirits or Zylol. Zylol works better than mineral spirits, but is more expensive.
If it's a Cyanoacrylate (super glue) type adhesive, acetone (nail polish remover) will dissolve it. I would try the mineral spirits first.
