Door Glass

I am working on my 71 Firebird and I need to adjust the drivers door glass. The door is aligned properly with the body. When I adjust the glass with the door open I can get it to shut good. When I sit in the car with the door closed and roll up the glass it's a no go. The glass rubs on the rubber and it won't go up. It rubs the rubber at the rear of the door. Seems like the glass needs to be pushed out toward the door but I can't get it to work. Any suggestion out there?
