Door glass regulator assembly instructions

I have a 37 chevy buisness coupe and the doors had no regulators in them. I thought about going one piece but for several reasons decided not to. I got the regulators and glass channel from I and I reproductions, however i cant figure out how the regulator arms attach to the riser channel. I found instructions ( with pictures)for a 38 chevy but they are different than the 37. Can anyone point me in the right direction for some help? My body manual isnt very explanatory.

This might help explain what i am trying to figure out. How does the glass rail attach to the regulator?

Not gonna swear to it, but I think there is supposed to be a roller track that screws/bolts to the glass rail and there should be 2 rollers attached to the regulator arms with the open holes. BUT, I am not sure about the 37.

x2 on that, i think you are still missing a rail. the one you have is either the window channel or the one that makes it ride up and down. sorry i looked for a while for you and what i gave you is all that is out on the net about this. your best bet is to go to a 30's chevy site and ask for pictures.

I think your right about missing parts, i have been all over the net and cant find any photos. Chevy of the fourties sold me the rail and cant tell me how to modify it even though the discription says it will fit my rod after modifications. Thx for your efforts to help, very appreciated

You are missing the glass track roller guide. This screws to the glass metal channel (you can see the holes for the screws on those tangs) The rollers on the end of the regulator arms just slide into the roller guide and you are good to go.
Cheers,Pat

Thanks for the info killer but those are for four door sedan unfortunatly. The two door buisness coupe wont interchange with the four door because the glass is four inches narrower in the door. . I can always count on you to help.

even if its a 4dr all the parts and how they go together are the same just smaller...the piece you have glues to the glass and the roller channel that your missing bolts to that...you'll need the tracks at both ends of the glass to guide the glass up and down you'll also need upper stops and lower stops It might have been easier to buy an old rotted out door and strip all the hardware out, then you'd know where everything goes and how its put together...F ing A thats a cool lookin car....You jus gotta love a biz coupe

I actually bought two doors for a four door sedan because i thought all the compononts were the same. The regulators for the vents are the same but the door glass regulators are different. They only have one arm instead of two. And the glass channel is one piece instead of two. I have the correct regulators for the door glass just need to find the rails that the regs go into. Thx for the reply
