Door handles replace 29 ford 2 door

Trying to figure out how get the handle assembly out. Seems like there is a clip locking it in place. Hard to see or access.

29 handle

Thanks for reply. Iam replacing outside handle. However I got it out, It was just stuck. In looking inside of the door, one could see a bunch of strange stuff all of which one wrong move and you'll have the bottom of the door full of springs, clips and parts.
Thanks for reply, I got it handled.

The Model A outside handles have a square shaft with a section machined square with opposite corners near the end. The handle must be pulled out, then rotated 45 degrees so the corners line up, then pulled and back again. Kind of pull-twist-pull-twist-pull. Reverse applies to installation.
It was an early theft prevention idea since the passenger side locking handles just lock themselves rather than the latch assembly. The driver's side doors lock from within.

door handles 29

That is fantastic, you are worth your weight in gold, thanks a ton. The supplier I bought them from did NOT know that! I have had 3 Model A's in 45 years, you would think I would have learned that trick.
Tks,
SV
