Door Panel Adhesive clarification
I'm new here, but have been lurking for a long time. Some of the specialized information on this site just can't be found anywhere else, that's why I keep coming back.
I have read Dan's Door Panel tutorial several times, but still have a question about the different adhesives. I am going to fabricate my own door panels. ABS base panel with Volara closed cell foam, faux leather and a marine grade vinyl. Is the DAP Landau Top & Trim Contact Adhesive, the same as DAP 00121 Weldwood High Strength Spray Adhesive ?? http://www.amazon.com/DAP-00121-Weld.../dp/B0006MXRXE Scott |

No, it's not the same, but it should work for door panels. Don't ever use an aerosol for anything attached overhead.
DAP Weldwood top and trim adhesive is a bulk spray grade HHR (high heat resistant) contact adhesive, which means it only comes in cans that are one gallon or more and has to be sprayed from a spray gun powered by an air compressor.
