I'm finding that the window channel (other stuff too) is in my way. I'd love to mount the pin higher in the door. What did you do?

I would like to go with a design that does not require sewing. I have gotten pretty adept at sculpting foam. I also plan on having some elastic type pockets ate the front bottom of each door for storage. I will have those fabricated by a local shop though. Also I will add a small arm rest to incorporate a door pull. Some pictures would be great if anyone has them.

Are there no pins on those doors? If they've got poppers on the latches, I'd put them on quick. 20 years ago my BIL's flew open at highway speed when my sister bumped her remote popper button hanging on her purse. He put them on his car the next week.

If your talking about Suicide Door Safety Latches,, I wouldn't build a car with Suicide Doors without them..

I moved them up as high as I could, right below the front window channel. The thing about the 34 door is the higher you go with the door pins the more meat on the jamb it contacts. I initially put them too low and they broke out, had to do some minor body repair and painting.
