door panels
if you wanted to make a door panel from scratch, how do you make the part that hangs by the window,, for example the door panel on a 94 silverado pickup

Fiberglas. Why 'make one from scratch' when they are readily available for that model truck. Get a plain-jane one from the wrecking yard or repro store then cover it with custom upholstery.

panels from scratch
Dittos what Willys36 says. Not worth the hassle of fabrication when there are so many laying around, and cheap.
