Door popper problem

We recently bought a car that had door poppers installed. We brought the car to our town which is an island in Alaska, and there is nobody here who can work on them. My problem is this: during the warmer weather the poppers were working fine. As it started to rain, first the passenger side door stopped opening. Later on the drivers side door would not open if it was closed the whole way. As long as it was only loosely latched we could still open it. Npw. even that won't work. The Emergency button will not open it either. We have to now climb through the hatchback in order to get in. Needless to say, the car is not being driven much.

There is nobody in our community willing to work on this, so am thinking we need door handles installed. Are we able to just reinstall door handles, or are new doors needed?

Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the solenoids dont like the cold to much.... you could try just replacing them. Depending on what was done when the handles were shaved, you might be better off buying new doors, just to avoid the hassle of re-aligning/welding everything back into place. But rehanging doors isnt to fun ethier.
