Post Door poppers

Hi I am new to this board... I am interested in installing a door popper/key less remote? I HATE my door handles they are always loose and I just hate using them { can you tell I am a girl?} Anyway I would like some info on what a Shaved door kit is.? Does that involve removing ,cutting, welding? Can I use a door popper with manual locks? or install power lock kit first, them door popper? any and all help welcome please. I would most like keep my old handles in place.

To answer your question yes. Shaving doorhandles does require cutting and welding.

Door popper kits depending on where you get it usually contain two door poppers(15-45lb.) and most good kits come prewired ready for install with two 2-3 channel remotes. You can use door poppers with manual locks, but the lock is virtually useless considering theres no handle to pop the door latch. You don't have to install power door locks, but if you want to there are kits for that as well. If you would like moire information on the shaving handles feel free to PM or e-mail me.

There are other solutions to your problem than just shaving. Replacing your old style loose fitting and easily broken handles with newer style flush mount handles. Of course this will require cutting and welding also.

You can add door poppers to your doors without removing your door handles, but it involves some fabrication to the inner door rods. Let me know if you need anymore help.
