Double Steering U-joints?

Hey help me out on this one: Stub column with double u-joint on output shaft, drops through firewall supported with support bearing mounted to firewall, another double u-joint to get the DD shaft aimed at the gear box, box has a single u-joint. This is all theoretical but pretty much what needs to be assembled. Where should I put another support bearing? Right after the 2nd double u-joint near the outside of firewall or down stream closer to the gear box? Mid ship? I dunno....
2nd question...do you need to "phase" a pair of double u-joints?
Thanks,
Dave

That's one of the things I looked at when I designed mine - worked for me. Glad it works for you.
