doug nash tranny

I'm new to this site so please forgive me if I don't do this just right---- Here goes----- I am building a 68 camaro and I already have a 454 bored .060 over , eagle forged rotating assembly , a .540/.540 comp cam and hydraulic lifters , I have a Doug Nash 5 speed with a long vertigate shifter . I have a lakewood bell housing and I've already purchased a ram billet flywheel , ram clutch, ram pressure plate . The bearing surface for the throwout bearing on the tranny is about 1.37 (od) . My question is what throwout bearing am I going to need to use ? I've talked to the tech line at Summitt and they have no clue , I called Richmond and they were absolutely no help , and I just want to get this right, so if anybody can help me , I would really appreciate it-------thanks//Tony

I'd get ahold of the tech people at Ram, tell them what you have, and let them tell you what you need.

I've run many of the DN Competition 5 sp, and Torsion Tube clutchless trannies, and you really only have two choices, either the long or short throwout brg. Depending on the pressure plate style, Borg & Beck, or Long style. Look on your pressure plate and it should have the info stamped on it as to what type it is....
