drag racing a vega

i have a 77 vega that im going to put a 400 sbc in. ive heard about the issues with the subframes and how you need to strengthen them, would anyone now where i could get the parts to do this and i was wondering about the engine changeover kit PAW offers, how much does this cost? any help would be greatly appreciated

If you are going to run a lot of horsepower, you will definately want to put at least a 8 point cage in it. That will stiffen up the chassis, so it wont twist.

Of course, it goes without saying, that the rear end will have to be changed.....a shortened 9in Ford is the way to go.

thanks for the help poncho, i was thinking of putting a 12 point roll cage in it, does anybody know which cars came out with a shortened 9in Ford rear end?
