drag suspension? "newbie"

i was wonderin how you can tell if coil over shocks in the rear of my sport fury are bad. And i dont have fancy tools to see the compression.And if there good how do i get the most rigid in the back.Do i want it rigid in the back.And i added 1 truck leaf to mine will it make it ridgid or did i screw it up?

1. Remove any coils on shocks on this car.2 the stock leafs will work well by themselves till you really bump the power.3 .Soft replacement rear shocks.
