Dressing up rubber under the hood.
In addition to the '50 Buick that I'm working on, my daily driver/project is a 1982 280zx. I plan to replace the fuel lines, radiator hoses, and several other lines with braided steel ones at some point in the future (once the Buick isn't draining my wallet so much).
In the mean time, though, I'd like to do something to "freshen up" the look of the rubber in the engine compartment. Is there any product that is safe to use on rubber lines in that environment? Armorall? The EagleOne products that make your tires look "wet"?
The potential flamable nature of these products made me cringe a little.... would it be a problem, and if so is there an alternative?
Thanks!
