Drive axle 2002 Mazda Protege

Put a new clutch in Protege and have everything reinstalled except for the passenger side shaft. I can't get it to line up right to slip into the tranny. The carrier bearing is loosened to alow more play. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I dont understand what their is to line up,im guessing you mean the three c/v bearings that slide into that steel cup.I would install the trans side first then you would have more room to work with the outside end.I havent done this for awile but you have to turn the steernig wheel one way or the other to get the outside end to go into that outside cup.Youll have to forgive me I cant remember what their called.Be sure to fill those steel cups with c/v grease & the boot also. And use the OEM boots becasue there the only ones that will stay on.Ive got an 97 Protege.
