driveline loss

Hi all,

My '55 chevy 210 has a hot small block 406 in it. I use a built up th200-4r and a dana 60 with 4.10's, 27" tires. stall is 2500 or so, motor is rated 500hp, dyno says only 308hp to the wheels. where is it all going? I thought 20-22% was the norm.....

How was the motor rated at 500hp? What kind of chassis dyno was it on?
