Driveline vibration?

Just got the Anglia back from the trans guy (New 700r4)...
It has a weird vibration, almost like a tire out of round from sitting too long, but more subtle.
When I drive 35ph 1700 rpm...I get a vibration one every second and a half...If I get it up to 45 2150 rpm it happens about every half second.
Above 2200 rpm I can't detect it..I didn't have this problem prior to the new trans, or if I did it wasn't as noticeable.
The u-joints have 1200 miles on them and the drive shaft was balanced 1200 miles ago.
Any ideas...

Bob

Driveline vibration?

Bob,was the torque converter replaced with this rebuild?

Balance problems are rare with converters these days, but do occur.

The fact that it does vibrate sitting still may point to converter.

You may be able to disconnect [unbolt] converter from flexplate, start engine, then see if vibration goes away. Use caution,[clearance]don't let converter get loose and contact flexplate.

Years ago we used a converter company, best not state their name, had many vibration concerns, sometimes just unbolting converter and rotating to another spot on flexplate would make vibration go away. Dana
