driverside dip stick
what year did chevy come out with the driver side dip stick oil pan in a 350 engine.. I have a 350 engine, but was told that it a 1981-1982 engine.. came some help me out

It's been my understanding that GM used LH aka driverside dipsticks untill 1979 in 1980 i beleave they went to RH aka passenger side dipsticks in small blocks.

Dipstick...
Doc here,
 I have an 80 (among my collection) And the dipstick is on the passenger side.... However , I have passed many on the freeway where it was behind the steering wheel.. Plucking eyebrows, on the Cellie, applying make up (wants to look good for the EMT's and Trauma team..)and reading the want ads..  Doc

I am pretty sure that it went to the passenger side in 78, with the body style change for the Malibus. They used a different exhaust manifold.
