Driveshaft torque capacity
How much effect does the OD of a driveshaft have on it's torque capacity? Does anyone know a calculation for getting an idea of how much a driveshaft can handle. I'm going to be running a short (14") driveshaft and want to keep the diameter as small as possible to make enough room to sit in the car. I assume material,wall thickness, diameters, and length all go into the calculation.

I went with a Denny's unit when I installed my Gear Vendors. Due to the 56 inch length and high RPM, Denny said a 3.5 diameter was needed for my application.
