Driving with a welding helmet on. :)

Any of you live where you see these? This is a Japanese thing, many people will wear these tinted shades over their face while out walking and doing things in the sun.

I would guess they are hooked up to a respirator too if in a smog city.

After wearing one all day working I sure as heck am not going to wear the thing going home.

Some meds make for a hyper-sensitivity to sunlight. Might be this persons case.

You are very right Mooch, of course this med would only be given to Japanese people? Sorry, couldn't resist. But honestly, I find it odd, it is a CULTURAL thing, I LOVE the differences in our cultures. If we were all the same this would be one boring place to live. I mean, without cultural food! Give me a break, again, I find it odd and only that.

But like the people who are walking the streets with a particle mask on, I am healthy, I thank God that I am. When I see someone with a particle mask on, it means they have a condition that I thank God I don't have. Some may overdo it, they have a mental problem that would make them think they need it. That is sad too!

On this shade, it is just odd! Our mail carrier uses one, when she walks in thru the door it shocks you when you look up from your desk to see this person coming in the door. I don't care how many times you see it, for her to be the one person in a hundred that walked thru that door today and she has this shield on her face, it catches you off guard.

Most of the time they aren't down as much as the woman in the photo. So they don't look quite as bad as this one. So this one stands out even more.

All I know is it makes a hell of a lot more sense to me than covering ones body in tattoos!

Brian

I was in Tokyo and Yokota Japan a few months ago, the majority of the people walking the streets wear dust masks still...on a good day.
