I'm looking at going from a 14 inch wheel with 225/60 to a 16 inch wheel with probably 205/50 or around there. If i get a 2 inch drop spindle will the height of the car change that much? Where as if i didn't get a 2 inch drop spindle, will the front of the car sit a little higher. Its going on a 73' nova
It seems to me that the car will sit about 5/16 lower with the 16's and the stock spindles.
A 225 60-14 is 24.63 tall, while a 205 50- 16 is 24" tall.
Here is the spiffy chart where I found that info.
Follow the directions at the top and you can calculate any size tire on any size rim.
Look at real specs of the actual tires you are going to run, as the measurements vary a little. Keep in mind that not all tires come in all sizes and some of those sizes in the chart may not exist at all. (don't get confused by the number seeming large for the sidewall height. It has already been multiplied by 2. )
Hope this helps, mikey
