what exactly is a spindle drop...i know it lowers the car and is the prefered way to lower a car without affecting the geometry of the suspension, unlike lowering springs, but how do they work?

A dropped spindle simply has the spindle attached higher up on the center mount....lowering everything without changing much geometry.

Drop spindles in most aplications are better then a spring hack job. You turning radius suffers a bit with off center spindles but that's about it - it's the best way to go to keep all the ducks in a row.
